Your file is read in your browser and sent to Claude only to check it. Final Eyes doesn’t save it.

What happens to my file?
  • Your file is opened in your browser, on your device.
  • Only its text is sent to be checked, or a picture for images and scanned PDFs. It goes over an encrypted connection to our server and on to Claude.
  • Final Eyes doesn’t save your file, its text or the suggestions. We keep only details about each check, such as its size, when it ran and how many suggestions were found.
  • Anthropic, who make Claude, don’t use it to train their models, and delete it within 30 days.
  • Closing or reloading the page clears your file and the results. Only your chosen options are remembered.

Artwork

How it works

You’ve read it 40 times. Let us do the final one.

  1. Drop your file. The finished PDF, Word document, photo of a proof or artwork. The one called FINAL_v7_actually_final.
  2. Final Eyes reads it three times. Three separate reads, each starting fresh, so what one misses another can catch. Then every suggestion gets a second look, so you’re not wading through false alarms.
  3. Fix it, then press send. Accept or dismiss each suggestion on the page itself, hand your designer a numbered list of amends and a marked-up proof, and unclench your jaw.

One missing letter. One whole reprint.

Here’s a leaflet after a check. Every mistake circled, every fix numbered A1, A2, A3, so whoever makes the changes can work down the list.

Try it yourself. The sample takes a few seconds and doesn’t use your free proof.

The sample leaflet after a check: mistakes highlighted on the page with codes A1, A2 and A3, and the list of 10 suggestions beside it.

What slips through

The ones that get past six people and a spellchecker

  • Words in pictures. The headline in the graphic, the price on the poster, the label on the box. Your spellchecker can’t see them. Final Eyes reads them.
  • Spelt right, still wrong. A Monday that’s actually a Wednesday. “Open 4.30am to 6.30am” for an evening event. A phone number with a digit missing. “htps://”. Final Eyes flags them for you to check.
  • The 4.45pm tweak. “Can we just change one word?”, retyped into the artwork by hand. That one.
  • Two of everything. Colour and color on the same page, hyphens where the rest has dashes, the the.
  • Nothing else. It won’t rewrite copy that’s already been approved. Style suggestions are there if you want them.

Where it fits

Everyone says it’s fine. Let’s make sure.

Spellcheck has been run. Two people have read it. It’s been signed off. And the mistakes that slip through usually got in after all that: in the layout, in the last-minute change, in the text that became part of the graphic.

Final Eyes reads the finished file, the PDF or the artwork that actually goes out, just before it’s printed or goes live. Keep your spellchecker. Keep your proofreader. This is the last pair of eyes.

Questions

What is a “check”?

One file, or one part of a long file. A part is up to about 8 pages (20,000 characters). A poster or leaflet is one check; a 20-page report is three.

What files can I check?

PDFs up to 30 pages, Word documents, plain text, and up to 4 images at a time (JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, 20 MB each). Up to 60,000 characters at a time.

Do you keep my files?

No. Your file is read in your browser and sent to our AI service only to check it. Final Eyes doesn’t save the file, its text or the suggestions. We keep only details about each check, like when it ran and how many checks your team has used.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. You get one free proof of a file up to about 8 pages, with no account needed. When you create an account, your team gets a free trial: 5 checks over 14 days, with no card needed. After that, choose a plan.

Will it catch every mistake?

No tool can promise that, and we’d be suspicious of one that did. Each file is read three times, independently, and every suggestion is double-checked, so it catches a lot. It can’t check text that’s been turned into shapes, or judge whether facts, names and prices are right. Keep a human eye on those.

Is it safe for confidential work?

Your file isn’t saved anywhere by Final Eyes, and the AI service we use doesn’t train on it. How we handle files.

Does it replace a human proofreader?

No. It’s a safety net, not a replacement. It catches what slips past people, and people catch what slips past it. Use both, and sleep better for it.

Go on. Drop the file you’re worried about.
